I got my hh_writersblock exchange assignment. In a moment of weakness, or possibly madness I'm not sure, I signed up after the relatively good experience of the LAS challenge. This is going to be my one time of freaking out over this --- FREAK, FREAK, OMG WHAT DID I DO? FREAK, FREAK --- and then I am just going to buckle down and get this done. *Breath* I can do this.

I even think I have an idea Look at me with the boundary expansion, even if they are silly self imposed boundaries.

I've got my main ship and they had some good prompts so this shouldn't be too hard. I've never really written anything remotely shippy before (or you know much of anything at all). At least nothing that wasn't terribly vague on the shippiness (such that I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who knew it was there) and didn't involve body-swaping, muscle memory, and cricket balls.

I do the same thing when I get my assignment *what was I thinking* then I get over it and try to brainstorm :)

Saw that we have a RL school in common and thought I'd pop up and wave (the green kind, of course:)))

Well, welcome in your trolling wanders. Did you make a decision on HiH? Either way, its nice to see someone else from Tulane here :-).

Mostly I just need to actually sit down and go through some icon posts and find ones I like instead of just thinking about it every time I want to use an HP icon. I'd welcome suggestions of places to start looking if you have them though.

Funny you should ask! I was just looking at the HiH comm, when I got an email from a couple of True Blood authors I like who've asked me to help them format their fics for posting on AO3 (200K +). So...I won't be going over there yet...

As to icons, I'd start here (http://hp-icons.livejournal.com/), but I know quite a few icon makers, so if there's something special you want, I can pass you on to them.

How goes life in the Big Easy? I haven't been back for a while, but want to get down there next time I'm home.
