 Day 01 – Your Favorite Quote

Day 02 – Your Favorite Classic Series Episode
It’s kind of common, but The Aztecs.  I love historicals.  I love Barbara.  I love people standing up to the Doctor, even if what they want to do ultimately fails.  Most of all, I’m an archaeologist.  I love the thought of going back to a culture I’ve studied to see what we got right, what we got wrong, and what never made it through the ages. 

Day 03 – Your Favorite New Series Episode
Human Nature/Family of Blood (and if you think a two-parter is a cop-out I’ll just go with Human Nature.)  I’ve come to the (I realize it may be unpopular) conclusion that I like my doctor human-esq.  I think it’s the same reason I prefer historic to pre-historic archaeology.  I enjoy things more when I can relate to them, when I understand the motivation.  Also adorkable, bumbling professor in a romance, I think my girl-card is showing. 

Day 04 – Your Favorite Doctor
With the caveats that I a. haven’t seen enough of Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, or Paul McGann to make an informed decision about them and b. that this decision could change five minutes from now, I’m going to go with Peter Davidson.  See above re: liking my doctors human-esq.  Fallibility is a good thing and I’m also always up for a good dose of sarcasm.  “Do you know where they are?” “ Yes.  That’s why I said I'm searching.” 

Since it is not asked further down on this meme, I feel compelled to share that Tom Baker is my least favorite doctor (an opinion I know is unpopular).  He, uh, kinda creeps me out.

Day 05 – Your Favorite Companion
Barbara Wright.  There is just something about being graceful and gracious in a life you didn’t choose. 

Day 06 – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
The Black Orchid Commentary.  I literally fell off a bed laughing at this.  Have a taster:

JF: Did you shave your chest or were you just not very hairy?
PD: It's a sign of strength actually.  Hair is a sign of weakness.
SS: Is it? JF: Is it? MW: Humph
JF: Is that why all the weight lifters and such shave their chests?  Did you oil your chest for this?  No, no you didn't
PD: You have hair on the weakest parts of your body if you think about it.
JF: Oh
SS: Oh really, that's interesting. *laugh*
JF: Which would explain the head.

Of course, all of this is said with due mocking tone. 

Day 07 – Your Favorite Piece of Music
Er.  The theme song.  I’m not a big fan of instrumental music as a rule (I’m a singer at heart), so I can’t say that the music is something I really think about.  I do love the fact that glowwormtu likes to render the theme song in text to send me on my phone at random intervals.

Day 11 – Your Favorite Season (Classic or New)
I’m going to go with season two (classic).  I’m a huge fan of the fact that Hartnell historicals didn’t have alien menaces, there were just normal humans be they good or bad who the doctor and companions interacted with.  I chose season two over season one because I prefer Vicki to Susan.

Day 12 – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
Chicks Dig Time Lords. Both because that statement is true facts and because I am ridiculously fond of academic writing about pop-culture subjects. 

Day 13 – Your Favorite Villain
The Weeping Angles.   They’re creepy and look cool.  But best of all glowwormtu is terrified of them, a fact that I get to exploit.  I’m a horrible friend. 

Day 14 – The Villain Who Scared You the Most
The Mara.  I need there to not be people who screw around with other people's minds, and if there are, they really need to not express themselves physically in the form of a snake.  Shudder. 

Day 15 – Favorite Who-Related Tumblr
I don’t think I’ve ever purposefully been on Tumblr in my life.

Day 16 – Your Favorite Who-Related FanFic
 At the moment this one.  I suppose I should warn that it involves stuffy and not-so-stuffy time lords as well as a Doctor/Companion romance, you know, in case you're not so fond of those things.

Day 18 – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy

This picture always cracks me up.  Clearly, when you are so worried about people thinking there might be sex going on in the tardis that you forbid the lead male actor to touch any of the female actors the way to introduce a new female actor is with scarf bondage.  I submit this as evidence that despite protestations JNT was totally a doctor/companion shipper.  'cause you don't outlaw things you don't think are happening. 

Day 19 – The Scene That Made You Cry the Most
I am so very much not a person who cries at media. 

Day 20 – The Character Who Is Most Like You
This is hard!  Martha is my least favorite for the new companions because I over identify with her allowing other people to walk all over her.  But at the same time while discussing my past reviews at work with someone they said "Oh, so you're the S.O.M., the Sarcastic, Opinionated, Meanie" which may just put me in the Tegan group.  I have a degree in Chemistry, which makes me identify with the scientificness of say Liz Shaw, and work as an archaeologist, which will automatically bring up comparisons to Benny (I drink way less) or River (I fail at flirting).  I love math and periodically get annoyed with various co-worker's inability to do the geometry inherent to our job,  a comparison which I'd rather not discuss.  Physically, I look most like Donna (I've certainly got the boobs and the tendency to dress in purple), but with Romana I's hair.  So I guess, Take your pick and then let me know. 

Day 21 – Your Doctor Who OTP
Barbara/Ian.  I have plenty of other ships that I read (see fic choice), but these two are the only pairing where if they are not together the world just seems wrong. 


Day 22 – A Who-Related Fan-Site
drwholand.  I'm the team lead for team Donna.  You should totally come along if interested.  


Day 23 – A Who-Related YouTube Video
I know, it's super old, but truck gets me every time. 

Day 25 – Favorite Who Actor
I have to say that David Tennant is the only one I've seen extensively in other things, which I feel is a prerequisite for enjoying someone's acting. 

Day 26 – Favorite Who Actress
See above, substitute Billie Piper. 

Day 27 – An Episode You Wish Hadn’t Been Made
Victory of the Daleks.  It sounded so cool and then wasn't.  If it hadn't already been made, the idea would still be around to be cool at a later date. 

Day 28 – An Episode Idea You Created Yourself
Really?  There are reasons I'm not a writer.  I'd love it if someone would do a good industrial revolution historical (without alien elements).  Maybe something on the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. 

Day 29 – Who You Think Should Be the Next Doctor
This should completely and utterly not be my decision.  I'm perfectly happy to take whoever the powers that be tell me is the next doctor. 

Day 30 – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
My fancy is decidedly sick of being tickled.
