Muzak, Muzak, Muzak

I would greatly appreciate it if the person from one of the apartments in my building who is having a party in the driveway (which just happens to be underneath my window) would require all of her fiends to go home. I'd really like to get to sleep tonight in order to be up for church tomorrow morning. I want to know how I ended up as the curmudgeonly neighbor at twenty-six (and to be completely honest, this is not a new development. I was the curmudgeonly neighbor at twenty-two, also).
Also, I think it would be a total kick to hang out with Catherine Tate and David Tennant, you know just chilling. Every interview/radio program/DVD extra I hear with the two of them makes it seem like they're having so much fun. Really who doesn't want to sing random songs from the 80's, discuss tamagotchies, and take pot-shots at twitter. Sounds like a good time to me.

Date: 2009-04-12 01:13 pm (UTC)I bought a new battery for my tamagotchie years ago, but then I couldn't find the actual little guy. I'm sure I've lost the battery by now too.

Date: 2009-04-12 02:01 pm (UTC)I think I'd enjoy hanging out with them more than the Torchwood folks. Barrowman is infamous for whipping it out, and apparently he than sets off Eve to waggle hers around then, too. Guess I'll find out - the Barrowman event I signed up for in June has morphed into a Torchwood con, not a musical theatre weekend. They've signed on the entire cast except Eve at this point - even "Rhys" and "PC Andy". Should be... Interesting.

Date: 2009-04-12 02:25 pm (UTC)I've heard that about the Torchwood set. That's really not the kind of environment I'd want to work it, which is probably why I'm an archaeologist and not an actor. I guess the event figured they could get more people with a Torchwood con? It's kind-of disappointing of them to change the focus half way through though. I hope you have a good time anyway.

Date: 2009-04-12 05:21 pm (UTC)It's funny, I thought the actors I knew at uni were not particularly representative of actors in general, but.... a lot of them would have fit in better on the Torchwood set that the Doctor Who set. Granted, there's still loads of farting on Doctor Who, but there's far less nudity. Am pondering going back to the theatre, but... I'm glad I'd never be in Cardiff working - don't think I could take it. I can understand trying keep the set loose, but... there's a line, ya know?
Well, judging from the discussion on the mailing list the organizers set up, ticket sales have gone up, so I guess it's good for them. I just hope I still get a full cabaret performance - that's what I signed on for. The other stuff's nice, but. I have a fear it will turn into a madhouse with too many actors there. I was hoping for discussion about Cole Porter and Avenue Q and stagecraft and MAYBE weevils, now I think it'll be all WEEVILS AND JACK/IANTO AND oh, yeah, Porter?
*fingers crossed* Will take pics anyway. :-)
