Well now I'm going stir crazy.  This is my fifth day of sitting around the Days Inn in Meridian and I am so ready to go back to work.  Of course I appriciate the companies desire to keep us safe by not having us work in areas that are under flash flood warnings but grrr.  Not working in the field is nice for one day, any longer than that and I want to be back in my appartment.  That is impossible at the moments since a) I'm still supposed to be at work untill next Wednesday, b) the Mayor's not letting any one back untill midnight tonight, and c) there is no electricity or sewerage which would definitly be worse that hanging around the hotel for another day.

Periodically in the field we discuss how the field techs as a unit should start a review page for hotels and SUV.  We rent both of them on a regular basis and get to try out all different kinds.  We typically have conversations along the lines of "yeah! a Moutaineer they have plenty of room for all the equipment while not having the huge blind spots of the suburbun." or "What is will all the wierd buttons on the Explorer's consul."  Someday I should start that.

I would go crazy to if I were sitting around for five days. Heck, I go even stir crazy sitting in the office when there is absolute nothing to do.

Offices do have a special ability to drive people crazy.

eeek. I don't blame you for going stir crazy. I go stir crazy just sitting in my house doing nothing. At least you're safe! Hope everything in your town gets fixed quickly!

Thank you. There really is noting worse than just sitting around doing nothing.
