Ooo.  I think I've found my Halloween costume.  I just saw The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Susan's battle costume is just great.  I wonder where one gets three quarter length sleeves in chain mail,  not to mention the sweet leather corset.

(She seriously made a chain-mail dress by hand. Bloody designers).

And for the leather corset mayhaps the rennfaire?

Could be an expensive costume, but firemountaingems has cheap jump rings for chain mail....

I was afraid of that. I don't know that I'm up for making chain-mail, but maybe I can achieve a similar look with some loose knitting.

It took her HOURS AND HOURS. But apparently was very soothing and rhythmic... Sooo... I probably wouldn't mind it but I don't know about you :-)
Probably could - you can do amazing things with knitting...

Will do. I'd be okay with the soothing and rhythmic, but I still think I'll try knitting first.
