Came home from work early today. Around 10:00 I decided that I just couldn't keep my eyes open and that the last thing I wanted was STR II printed backwards on my face because it rubbed off the bag when I fell asleep at my desk. Instead I dozed in my big-ol'-chair while watching A:tLA (which incidentally, I feel like I missing something with -- I enjoy it okay but I am not acquiring the fannish-rabies) since there were people using lawn mowers and life guard whistles outside.

Otherwise, I now have 2 of 4 superlative category banners done. Half way through it occurred to me that I should stop volunteering to do things that involve the possibility of misspelling peoples names. I do that, seriously, all the time.

And finally:

Treasure Island and Anne of Green Gables will always remind me of my father because he read both of them a chapter a time to me before bed when I was little.

Christy goes with my mother because we both read it when the television show came out because we were such big fans. I think it is the only time we've ever shared a fandom (mostly because my mother is not a fannish type person.

Harry Potter (the whole series) goes with my brother because he was the one who actually got the first book for Christmas. I stole it out of his pile of presents because the blurb made it sound right up my alley. After that we tended to do some fighting back and forth about copies (particularly the one of Prisoner of Azkaban that my father brought back from a business trip before it was published in the US.

and finally

The Scarlet Pimpernel goes with [livejournal.com profile] glowwormtu because she is the only person I know who counts that as a favorite book. Similarly, I would guess that Jane Eyre reminds her of me.

Hahaa. Don't worry - fandom can be randomly infectious. I have the fandom rabies for A:tLA.

Where in the series are you? I didn't get mine till Book 2, so that might affect it :)

Are books the same as seasons? If so, I'm still in book one. If not, I am probably still in book one as I haven't noticed a change. Regardless, my next episode is #10 from season 1.

So maybe I will still catch the rabies.

Book One is equal to Season One. :) BUT YES! Season One is very slow/not as amazing - very kid-oriented. By the end of Season One you see things getting much darker, and then Book Two and Three is just full of everyone being BAMF (and the most amazing villain ever, because Book Two and Three has a different villain). Most of my favorite characters/arcs only appear in Book Two and Three. I'm so excited for you to move forward in the series, ahhhh.

I think you'll end catching the fandom rabies :)

lol I've watched almost ALL of A:tLA and don't have fandom-rabies over it (although I like it and think it's cute), so you're not alone!

Yeah, this is pretty much exactly where I am (although I think I am less than half way through). The show is cute, but nothing that I am terribly worked up about.
