Yeah, so its like a month later, but I am going to share my exciting trip into Philadelphia with Shylie and Danielle anyway, but in bullet point form 'cause I'm not sure I could give an appropriate description otherwise. That was posibly the mother of all sentences.
* First, went to Libery Bell. It's still there and still cracked and still looks like it did on our class trip in fifth grade. I am told it is in a new building, and it looks like a nice building, so I'm inclined to believe that that has changed. Here I managed to get stuck behind the woman who's calf set off the metal detector. I was really weird - the security gaurd whipped out the little wand thing and it beeped on her rings, watch, and then calf. There was nothing on her calf, even under her pants which she had to raise, and she didn't say anything about having pins or a rod, so I'm still wondering what was up with that.
* Was herded accross the street to see Independence Hall. We had a kinda scary tour guide who wanted people to take notes and gave us a quiz on important dates in history. No one did too well on that part. Then he did the who tour thing and was engaging wich was good.
* Betsy Rosses house. The brochure they give you when you walk in says that there is evidence that Betsy Ross existed, but there is no evidence that she actually made a flag. No one had even heard that until some point in the 1800's when a decendant of hers gave a speech and was like "My family tells me that my ancestor did this really cool flag making thing." I hope the story is actually true. Walking around we had this random small child attach herself to our group, which was not particularly bright on her part as good two thirds of our group was particularly sympathetic to small children
* Lunch, yum.
* Constitution Center. Tres cool. The spiel at the beginning was a little cheesy, but the rest was fun. Got to tell Shylie that she was such a republican at the imigration section and I was the first allowed to vote according to the voting section along that wall. Had a good laugh at the Children's Multi-media show about the Bill of Rights. Finally, we had our picture taken with Ben Franklin - the large brass one - before rushing out at closing time.
* Got lost on the way home. Danielle was not particularly impressed with the back roads of Chester County, too hilly and wooded. She did, however, enjoy my mothers seasonal towels in the bathroom, which made my mother happy, since we tend to make fun of her for them (except the Vixen towel with the raindeer dressed up in a clinging red dress - that's my favorite).

There - Ha! I said I would share this and indeed I have, though not in a very timely manner.

Well my Hurrication is now officially over, and I have returned to class. I am quite glad that we left at 8:00 last tuesday, because it only took us three hours to get to Baton Rouge and 8 and a half to get to Houston. It took a lot of other people much much longer. Along the order of going less than one mile in two hours.
Lake Jackson was nice. We stayed with [livejournal.com profile] glowwormtu's Aunt and Uncle. Their two children are so cute. They made us all name tags for our doors. And we played lots of trampoline games. Then there was the two dogs and the softest cat I have ever felt. Unfortunately we had to leave Pascal there.
Wednesday included a trip to the beach, The waves tried to steal on of our towels and the cooler, but we foiled their dastardly plan. Ha! Thursday was taken up by the Galveston Grump and shall therefore not be mentioned again. Friday consisted mainly of resting, and attempting to take the kids to see Shrek II at the 6 month theater. Then Saturday I got to drive back to New Orleans, with a brief, although not brief enough, stop over in Lake Charles. All in all a quality Hurrication.

I'm gonna give [livejournal.com profile] undy_niable a big o' chance to make fun of me and [livejournal.com profile] roguey152 the chance to give a "go Son" and share that I went to Twi-Ro-Pa for Leighties (look at the spelling, then say it out loud) on Thurs. It was a mighty cool club made out of an old airplane hanger, or so I am told. I stayed out for the latest school night of my college career. A wopping 1:30. Go me. I am so sad.

Then last night I help Ivie rescue her stuff from DJ's house and move it to her's. We got lost in the ghetto going there, and then I almost got hit (or well I guess it would actually be me hitting people) three times. They have all these annoying places where there are stop signs and cars parked on both sides of the street up until the curb so you can't see the cars comming. And come they do, with way too much speed. But we made it out with out an accident, and I learned to stick to the major roads which go both ways and have lights instead of stop signs. I then got to see the end of Robin Williams Live from Broadway at Ivie's. Which was just as funny as the beginning which I say at [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s.

For all of you keeping track.

1. Went to see The Princess Diaries Two with [livejournal.com profile] undy_niable. We were at the 12:30 showing with all the little, not even tween yet, girls. Mostly I went so he would have someone to go with, since Anne Hathoway is his movie girlfreind. I still think he should have dressed up in a big old trench coat and gone by himself. I wonder if they would have let him in?

2. Drove to New Orleans avec ma mere. We thought it was going to take us the better part of three days, but we so could have made in two. As it was we got here at 10:00 yesterday morning. We had pretty much no traffic the entier time: the worst parts were probably West Chester and New Orleans. I drove fast, which is a big accomplishment and the car didn't break down, so all is good.

3. Set up new dorm room -- and it is looking mighty fine if I do say so myself. I managed to purchase an S-video cable, instead of the one to plug into the wall, so right now we have a tv with no channels. Shall have to remeady that soon. Played Trivial Pursuit with two of the roomies last night and no one knows who the forth roomie is. We shall so see.

Yup, that is about it. I will now go get some really expensive books inorder to further my educational progress.

First off - I love my Ipod. I can't believe it took me this long to get one. I am minorly annoyed that I can't sing out loud with it. Well, I could but then I would majorly annoy other people with it. [livejournal.com profile] undy_niable tells me that I look like an apple add, writing on my power book and listening to my Ipod with my old imac sitting in the back ground.

My little cousin has been here for the last couple of days. Can I say how glad I am that I do not have little people around all the time. I can live a good long while without having another dirty sock thrown at me. I have never watched as much Cartoon Network as I have in the last two days (and unfortunately none of it was Evo). If I ever start a super-hero group I will make sure that all members have names instead of numbers, cause really who can remember who is which number.

Went to the Goshen fair for something like 15 min. Was probably my best year for that fair as I got to leave when I got bored with it and I got a rubber ducky and some of the ever so delightful donuts. They did not; however, have battered mushrooms this year, which greatly disappointed me.

I supposed to be at the beach right now, but am not. Anyone who went -- How was it?

Part 6 of Operation Buffy Introduction completed. Only thirty-four more to go. Which may commence Sunday night, Tuesday, or Thursday.[livejournal.com profile] roguey152 let me know.

[livejournal.com profile] roguey152, <lj user="undy_niable", and I had a great deal of funny loking up random lj interests and seeing the strange or scary people who have that interest. I am currently mad at Sears. I asked for next Saturday off, but they did not give me next Saturday off. Grrr. It's all because my manager is on vacation and the computers never work, so I haven't gotten an official Username. Now I am probably unable to go to the beach, since everyone else also seems to be working Sat or has taken off. Now I'm loading all of my music into my new computer so I can transfer it to the Ipod when it comes next week.

Oh, How I hate being the pantie girl.  I feel like such a dirty old man having to rummage through what will someday be someone else's underwear.  (Cause at $6.00 a piece it sure wont be mine)

Sears was so boring.  There was no customers there and three MCA's so all I dod was walk around in circles looking for things on the floor (which there weren't any) and folding and re-folding all the shirts on tables.  AHHHHHHHHHHH.

May be seeing Shrek 2 with [livejournal.com profile] rougey152 ; although I don't have a time yet.

Tried to see Fahrenheit 911 with Lauren and [livejournal.com profile] roguey152 last night, but it didn't work.  The entire population of West Chester and Downingtown decided to descend on the theater at the same time we did.  Grrr.  Came back to mine, talked, watched When Harry Met Sally, laughed at my brothers cards.  General amusingness

Today I got to try on every piece of clothing in my closet while my mother decided whether or not I should get rid of it.  She acted like I wouldn't actually get rid of the clothes, which is what I have been doing on and off over the last week, then proceeded to not approve of only one or two things, all of which I had been debating about myself.  So, ha!

Went over to Karen's last night to see Karen, Vicki and the three kitties. I so need a cat. It's nice to see everyone after er, five, six, how ever many months it's been.

Today, volunteered at a hot air balloon festival to benefit some special school. I got to stand at the corner of the driveway and confuse drivers by telling them to go down to the next group of people in orange vests, which is what the would have done anyway except for the fact that I was standing there in an orange vest looking terribly official. I also got to stand there with some very dodge security people, one of which felt a need to tell me all about his previous job at a diaper factory.

Tonight out to the movies.

Tonight we had a pot luck party to celebrate the end of term and everybody leaving. Granted it was a little early, since the first group of people don't leave until Saturday, and term isn't officially over until next Friday. It was great fun. I brought rice with vegetables and teriaki sauce, since well, rice and pasta are the only things I have left. I don't think its very good, but other people were seriously voting on it for the best dish, so it must be okay.

Damon had everyone sign a big England flag for him. Why didn't I think of that.

Then we got to play catch phrase (I need to find a copy of at home, as it will provide a welcomed relief from Trivial Pursuit) which we always play. This time there were actually other people who know something about entertainment so we got to play that category. Go Abby!

Oh, and Ryan had the tackiest Florida tee-shirt I've ever seen, for which I must commend his parents.
