Collected Ramblings of the Weekly Variety

I spent the last two days on a whirl-wind tour of Florida.  I had three contractor yards to survey in three different counties, so there was lots of driving and different hotels every night.  Grrr.  I hate when we have to change hotels in the middle of a ten-day.  All your personal belongings have to sit in the truck while you work -- so the food spoils and the bag with your clothes gets dirty from the field equipment.  But now I'm back in phase II land, and the weather warmed up, so I'm all kinds of happy.  I even broke out "Cock-Eyed Optimist" and "I Have Confidence" which appear to be my happy songs at the moment.  I don't know what's up with that. 

I finished watching Life on Mars.  Wow.  I was fairly spoiled for the ending -- as happens when you come to something well after it first aired -- and liked it way better than I thought I would.  I also feel like I need to find a list of all of the songs used --  I'm sure one will pop up as soon as I google it -- so I can have a playlist.  I need to stop finding music through television so I don't have to name playlists after shows.  Also, at what sort of event would one cosplay Annie, 'cause I find myself wanting a cute little police getup (words I never thought I would string together) particularly the hat.  I'm all about the hat. 

I am also apparently all about the dashes today. 

Finally, I tried to get my hair cut with bangs today.  I also tried to get my hair cut with bangs back in October.  Then the woman wouldn't cut them short enough because she was worried that she would cut then too short (a legitimate worry since my hair is much curlier than it looks).  Instead I ended up with front hair that was not short enough to be bangs and not long enough to stay off my face.  This time I just couldn't find the salon I was looking for -- hopefully I'll have better luck on Monday when I can go when it's still light out.  Or possibly bangs are just not in my future.
