Weekend round up

Well now, I haven't updated in forever or, you know, a couple of days. It's much more difficult to remember to write something on my four days, when I actually get to do something, than on the ten days when I get to sit in a hotel room after work.
Now it's back to work on the project that just seems to get worse and worse. Now they want to take away our travel days.
- Finished sewing a bag that I've been working on on-and-off for over a year. I was way more on than off. Also managed to crap out the tension on my sewing machine again, so I'll spend part of next four-day fixing that.
- Read up on some archaeological theory. I've been meaning to do this for a while and finally dragged my butt down to the Tulane Library to do so. Hopefully, I can discipline myself enough to make it a weekly occurance.
- Went to see a cabaret show. I'm still still here, me. I have no idea about the title other than it's a show the actor has been doing yearly (and up-dating) since "the storm" as everyone call it. Lots of local humor, much of which I didn't entirely get, not being originally from New Orleans.
- St. Patrick's day parade. This is a lot like Mardi Gras (they even recycle a number of the same floats) but in addition to throwing beads and cups they also throw out the makings of an Irish stew. I caught two carrots, an onion, and two potatoes.
- Crawfish boil. Yeah! yummy crawfish season.
- Attended a bar party thrown by the two project managers who recently left my company for us lower level employees. Kind of random, and there was much bitching.
