pinksoniaI promise I don't do these that often. All evidence to the contrary - I know. Anyway I will be trying out the lovely interview meme, mostly because I always wanted to be interviewed, but I only ever saw it on journals I was lj-stalking, and that's creepy enough without asking to be interviewed. So, follow the directions, or ignore this it doesn't matter, but here's how it goes:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal. <----more likely to be my option.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. What's your favourite thing about the town in which you live?
I love that, in my neighborhood of New Orleans, I can walk anywhere I need to go. In the streets surrounding my apartment I have two grocery stores, numerous restaurants of all kinds, little shops, a pharmacy, a hardware store, book store, and a lovely park. It makes me feel so European to by the ingredients for my dinner each morning.
2. What's your comfort book?
I'm going to be indecisive and pick three. The books I've read over and over again are Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and Letter from New York by Hellene Hanff. Depending on the length of time I have and why I need comfort I will choose any of those three.
3. What's the most exciting thing you've ever found?
Last summer while surveying at a nuclear power plant I found the foundation of an old sugar mill. There was portions of the sugar mill exposed above ground, but a previous survey in the 80's had determined that there were no foundations left. Apparently they were wrong, because I had a section of wall running directly through my shovel test.
4. What's your favourite time of year?
Growing up in Pennsylvania, it was winter because I love snow. Unfortunately, it rarely snows in New Orleans. Now I would say Fall because the weather is perfect for survey and I get a kick out of planning and making Halloween costumes.
5. If you were given a plane ticket for anywhere in the world, where would you go?
England!!! and if the ticket were one-way and I never had to come back, so much the better.
