It is that time:

Happy New Year Everyone!
Okay, now that is out of the way.  I quite possibly had the most boring New Years Eve ever in which I drank champagne while reading Hard Times and then fell asleep at something like 8:15.  The fireworks woke me up at 12:30 at which point I continued to read for a couple hours and then went back to sleep.  Yup, that is me -- consummate wild child.  hmm. 

Has anyone else signed up for the goodreads.com yearly reading challenge.  It looks super low-key (by which I mean it looks like they keep track for you), which is awesome, since I'm likely to forget about it.  But 30 should be a good number.  I'm sure I can get through 2.5 books a month, particularly if I count, and continue to listen to books on tape at work.  Otherwise I am staying away from the resolutions (except possibly the one about being nominated for insane participation in the Claw in-house superlatives at HiH.)

I did last year, about 4 months into the year (when I joined) and I made my goal easily.. then had to add to my goal as I still had a month and a half left in the year.

It's good to know that you can add to the goal if necessary. Mine could go either way of finishing it up super fast or not actually making it (mostly depending on how much fic I read this year, which always cuts into the ~actual~ reading) :)

Now that I have my Kindle I am going to try and read 50 books next year. We'll see though.

Your NYE sounds pretty fucking comfy, I have to say. I wouldn't have minded that for myself ;)

I think my goal on Goodreads is 25 or 30 books this year. I'm being lazy since I hit my goal of 50 books easily last year but it was stressing me out, haha.

Not stressing yourself out over something that is supposed to be fun/interesting is smart not lazy!
