State of the Knitting: August and September
Since I've gotten better about knitting and finishing things over the last couple of months, I've thought I would keep a montly-ish record of what has been finished. Here be lots of pictures.
August
Most of August was taken up by the Steampunk swap over on Ravelry. I probably wasn't the best person to participate in this particular swap, since during the course of it, I learned that I really am more interested in general Victorian fashion. But I did end up with a couple of things.

A top hat facinator. I'm rather proud of this one since I did it free-hand because I couldn't find a pattern. I think it came out rather well. I think if I were to do it again, I would make it smaller, since I was expecting the yarn to felt more.

Cicel the Steampunk Rat. I love the little vest.

Waist cincher. I managed to make a corset without actually having to make a corset. Go me and the need to not have to use boning.
On the non-steampunk swap front, I made the Dumbledore Memorial Socks for a challenge on
hogwartsishome. One little comment in the prompt and suddenly I'm trying to knit for every challenge I can. I may just be too stubborn for my own good.

September
September was more of a one big project month.

Saints knee socks for those wear your colors days at work. I refuse to buy a jersey, because I hate to wear a jersey without actually knowing a lot about the player whose number I am wearing. So now I don't have to.

Adorable dragon, mostly made for the Knit and Crochet House Cup on Ravelry. Also for my Marauder's Mission where I am attempting to knit one stuffed animal a month.
and finally another
hogwartsishome challenge, the secret talent challenge for owl post secret. and I even won third place Tiny stuffed Snape.

Also, tiny Snape is looking for a good home, should anyone be interested.

You can call Snape cute if he is tiny. All things are cuter when tiny. Like baby shoes, way cuter than actual shoes.
