And you get another post

I've let my parents know, but I'll put the word out here too in case you find yourself wondering. We've got a tropical storm, likely to become a hurricane, on the way. People here are going nuts because it is taking a similar path, and is supposed to make landfall on the same day as Katrina. However, it is at this point, and likely to remain, a MUCH SMALLER STORM.

Anyway, I'm staying. I will, however, be moving a few blocks over to stay with [livejournal.com profile] glowwormtu and her husband, not because of any fault in my apartment, but because I don't want to be alone while it is storming. Mostly I am posting to say that starting Wednesday there is a good chance that I will be without electricity and therefore on a slight hiatus.

Stay safe! One year ago today, we had Irene up in this area and were without power for a few days. It was roughhhh (AND SO HOT OMG).

Yeah, really not looking forward to the heat.

We were looking at that on Sunday and wondering how bad it would be :( Stay safe!

I'm super glad that it is staying relatively weak. I will do my best to stay safe.

Stay safe! I'm in the same state, so I'll be riding it out with you.

You stay safe too!

Have fun! And erm, stay safe and all that. Non-life-threatening hurricanes are a good excuse to party. Not like there's anything better to do. Though where you're at, it's probably best to keep your wits about you. In Lafayette, people are calling it a "hurricane holiday" and reminding each other to buy copious amounts of beer. >.>

I hope that everything's okay.
