Never go over the bridge!

Went swing dancing/jiveing with [profile] glowwormtu in NOLA.  I love jive! So much fun.  Of course, now my calves hurt, and I'm really tired -- but in a good way.

I've missed NOLA far more than I thought I did.  It was nice to drive down the streets I used to haunt.  Partake of favorite restaurants (NInja).  And even see a movie at the theater I always get lost on the way to.  (Pan's Labyrinth is very good, but has very graphic, disturbing violence - and I don't usually say that about a movie.  It also is in Spanish with subtitles, which is not really clear in all the press.)  I didn't get lost on the way, but once again we almost went over the Huey P. Long bridge on the way back.  My Premier drivng rule: NEVER GO OVER THE BRIDGE!

Swing dancing and jive?
Lucky, lucky, lucky you.
Pity you're stuck down there now - it looks like she might be leaving after all (has a meeting with a real estate agent on Tuesday, refuses to say where they're looking; I feal S. may have caved), and if it was just me and you there they'd *have* to let you in the field.
In a related note - rooming with C. for the whole week? NOT FUN.
Can we say American Idol and Lifetime movies?
And getting dragged to the bar Thursday night with everyone?
*headdesk*

Poor you. No one should be subjected to lifetime and american idol. Perhaps the bar will be a blessing in disguise, as I can assure you that neither of those things will be playing there. Though, bars with Paula and Erin can get a little scary.

You must have been at the theatre behind K-Mart. There was once a time when Graham Haskell and I were out in that area, and I almost went over the Huey P. Long bridge, but he noticed what was happening, grabbed the wheel, and swerved me off of the road, into a parking lot where a cop was sitting.

Good times.

Yup that would be the theater. I swear the cops hang out right at that last turn, waiting to catch all the people who realize at the last minute.
