But, Mr. Adams, Dear Mr. Adams...

Yay! It's the Forth of July, which is one of my favorite holiday for a simple family tradition. Today is the day of our annual watching of 1776. So, you all enjoy the tradition with me, I attempt my first embedded youtube video. Finally, If any of you ever find yourselves in Philadelphia during the summer, you should totally check out the sing-a-log version in the visitors center. You get to throw plastic flies at John Hancock and who wouldn't want to do that?

Some day, somewhere, there will be a theater company that will let be be Abigail Adams. Just sayin'

This is such a great musical. And it really shouldn't work (too long, about an unusual subject, too many book scenes between the songs), but it does, and beautifully.

And someday, somewhere, there will be a theater company that will let yo be Franklin. We all know who I will be, of course...

"Good God! In the middle of the afternoon?"

It's true. People tend to be wary about watching the show, but once they do they love it.

Yes, I know. But I don't really have any desire to be Franklin.

"Not everyone's from Boston, John."

FYI, I've brought another over to the dark side (Ashlie had never seen 1776 before).
