I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt that each time they thought they could do what they said and then ran into problems. I like that way better than people purposely lying to me.

I think this experience may make me into a back upper. I guess losing everything is what teaches the importance.

I'm usually a fan of getting the updates until the machine is too old to support them any more. I did that with my old clam-shell ibook because I knew I would never again be able to get a teal computer.
