Why does everyone I know hate on my favourite book, yo? All of the characters ARE vile (except maybe Hareton and little Cathy), but honest in their vileness. I love the book, and have read it multiple times, and still don't warm to many of them (though I do love Heathcliff, he's not "misunderstood", he's a dick, but I still love him?), but I just....love it. I feel like everyone involved is just SO unlucky in their fortunes, but out of all of the bitterness and hate, comes a kind relationship.
